What a trio!

If this formation didn’t already exist, you’d have to invent it. The musical twins Mats Edén and Jonas Simonson, who have been playing with the legendary band Groupa for 25 years, who have recorded on famous labels like ECM, and who are the great role models for all Scandinavian musicians have joined up with the young and dynamic guitarist Mattias Pérez. The starting point is Jonas’ CD Crane Dance. The Swedish music magazine Lira gushes: “The musical dances enrapture the ears of the audience just as elegantly and magically as the mating dance of the cranes.” Groupa was a guest at the 1st folkBALTICA, and Jonas Simonson was here again in 2008 for the anniversary concert of Haugaard & Høirup.
