The cult concert on Museum Hill

The midnight concert in the stairwell of the Christiansen House is our experimental stage, where this year we will be positioning five flute magicians who have never played together before: the Swede Jonas Simonson from Groupa and the Crane Dance Trio is the flute icon of the northern European folk scene. As well as the small Selje flute he has also developed harmony instruments with a futuristic character. A young champion of the fascinating Norwegian shepherd’s flute is Anne Sofie Valdal (Fribo) from Norway. The two Danes, Martin Seeberg (Valravn) and Poul Høxbro also like to put two instruments in their mouths at the same time: bone flutes, tin and low whistles and one-handed flutes. The 20 year old flautist Annmarie Grams from Flensburg, who plays with the youth folk band Intakt will soon be the first German ever to study folk music at the Carl Nielsen Academy in Odense.
